HYDERABAD: Three of Hyderabad’s popular water bodies—Durgam Cheruvu, Hussainsagar, and Malkam Cheruvu in Raidurgam—are set to offer exciting new water sports activities, adding to the existing boating options that already attract many tourists and locals.
Sources indicate that TGTDCL is focused on enhancing the city’s tourism infrastructure, which currently includes a fleet of transport and water, leisure cruises, water sports, and sound and light shows.
To bring these new adventure sports to life, TGTDCL plans to collaborate with experienced private operators on a revenue-sharing model. These operators will handle the procurement, operation, and management of the activities, adhering to the Minimum Operational Obligations (MOOs) outlined in their agreements.
In total, thirteen major adventure water activities will be introduced, with Malkam Cheruvu hosting the majority, followed by Durgam Cheruvu and Hussainsagar.
