Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka declared that the government will take stringent action against anyone involved in narcotics and drug trafficking. Speaking at the International Day for the Prevention of Illegal Use and Transport of Narcotics event, organized by the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau on Tuesday, he emphasized the collective responsibility to eradicate the drug threat undermining the potential of the youth. “Telangana’s police force is highly skilled and effective in apprehending those engaged in drug trafficking. There will be no shortage of funds to combat illegal drug activities in the State; sufficient budget allocations will be ensured,” he stated.
“Youth should associate with positive influences and focus on planning a productive future. Drugs act like poison, shattering peace and happiness within families. The family system is a cornerstone of Indian society, yet drug addiction threatens this foundation. Illegal drug trafficking is a conspiracy by anti-national elements aimed at undermining our human resources,” he noted.
If the police bolster their intelligence network by forming anti-drug committees in every village, controlling the drug menace will become more feasible,” he added.
