Hyderabad: The surroundings of Kasu Brahmananda Reddy (KBR) Park in Jubilee Hills are set to be developed with flyovers and underpasses to facilitate smooth-flowing traffic. Once completed, commuters can expect to traverse this bustling area without stopping at multiple traffic signals.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will undertake this project, developing infrastructure at six locations, including near KBR Park, Road No. 45 Film Nagar Junction, and Banjara Hills Road No. 10.
According to a town planning official, a tender will be issued for architectural design firms to develop a plan for the flyovers and underpasses, including a 3D model. As the area is classified as an eco-sensitive zone, authorities aim to minimize the number of trees that need to be removed.
Recent reports indicate that the corporation has also engaged consultancy services to assess the feasibility of tunnel roads in the western part of the city. However, that proposal appears to be on hold due to its complexities. Considering the traffic volume and environmental restrictions, this project is expected to take considerable time to complete.
