HYDERABAD: Healthcare giant Providence, valued at $27 billion, has set its sights on expanding its Global Innovation Centre (GIC) in Hyderabad. IT Minister KT Rama Rao announced that the company plans to grow its headcount at the GIC from its current 1,000 employees to over 3,500 in the next two years.
During a speech at the HYSEA awards, the IT Minister highlighted the dedication and capability of the employees at the Hyderabad centre, contributing to its success and making it a strategic enabler in Providence’s digital transformation journey. Principal Secretary of Telangana IT & Industries, Jayesh Ranjan, also spoke about the growth of the GIC, noting that it started with 200 employees and has since increased to over 1,000.
The CEO of Providence praised the employees in Hyderabad for their discipline, sensitivity towards deadlines, and added responsibility in ensuring the success of the company’s operations.
