Hyderabad is set to have 13 additional law and order police stations to enhance visible and efficient policing, with the State government expected to grant permission for the creation of 13 new police stations, 11 police divisions, and two law and order zones within the Hyderabad Commissionerate.
The following police stations are expected to be established in Hyderabad: Borabanda, Warasiguda, Tadbun, Bandlaguda, Domalguda, Lake PS, I S Sadan, Tolichowki, Gudimalkapur, Masab Tank, Filmnagar, Rahmathnagar, and Khairatabad.
Hyderabad Commissionerate is expected to establish 13 new police divisions, which include Borabanda, Warasiguda, Tadbun, Bandlaguda, Domalguda, Lake PS, I S Sadan, Tolichowki, Gudimalkapur, Masab Tank, Filmnagar, Rahmathnagar, and Khairatabad. Additionally, two new law and order zones, South East and South West, will also be created, along with a separate women safety wing under the Hyderabad Commissionerate, which will include five new women police stations headed by an official of DCP rank.
Existing police station boundaries are being redrawn to create the new police stations. In some areas, an ACP-level officer is responsible for overseeing two or three police stations to ensure effective supervision.
