HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) will soon hold a first-of-its-kind Hyderabad dance festival from April 3 to 11 in the city.
Addressing the press conference on Thursday on behalf of the Hyderabad Dance Festival, actress – Faria Abdullah – of Jaathiratnalu fame expressed her excitement and encouraged dance enthusiasts to participate in the workshops as audience – live or online. The festival, in its first edition, includes panel discussions, workshops and performances for professionals, enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike.
HMDA’s mandate is to manage the development of the City of Hyderabad – and to create infrastructure and amenities that make Hyderabad a truly global city. Arts and culture make up the soul of a city and HMDA is acting as catalyst to try and leverage the infrastructure of the city, with its ability to network with other government agencies, and corporates, who have a stake in the development of the city to help artistes and organizers of cultural events to be able to hold these programs with ease.
The festival will be held by following strict Covid 19 protocol for audiences such as masks, maintaining social distancing and sanitization. The festival will feature live online broadcast to ensure that a wide global audience can participate.
