Hyderabad: A task force from the Telangana Food Safety Department has carried out raids at several dairy stores in the city.
The raids targeted stores in the Koti area.
During the inspections, the food safety team discovered several irregularities. At Sri Murugan Ghee Stores in Sultan Bazar, for instance, the FSSAI license was not prominently displayed as required.

Additionally, the storeroom and packing area were found to have broken windows and lacked insect-proof screens.
During a raid at Mysore Ghee Stores in Sultan Bazaar, Hyderabad, the food safety team found packed items such as dry fruits, butter, and ghee lacking proper labels.
At Shree Mahalakshmi Kendra in Kutbiguda, the food business operator did not have Medical Fitness Certificates for food handlers or pest control records for the premises.
Moreover, the food handlers were observed working without hair caps or gloves.

Inspections at Schools and Hostels in Telangana
In addition to the raids on dairy stores in Hyderabad, recent inspections were carried out at various schools and hostels across Telangana.
During these inspections, both administration and cooking staff were educated on proper kitchen protocols and best practices.
In recent months, the task force team has been actively raiding restaurants, paying guest accommodations (PGs), and hostels to ensure the maintenance of food quality.
